What to expect from your valuation:
You do not need to set up an appointment to book an item (or items) in for a valuation with Charlotte; however, we will usually ask us to leave your items with us for 1-2 weeks to allow time to complete a thorough valuation and assessment, including testing and photos.
When the valuation is complete, you will be provided with a hard copy valuation document detailing each item's value and any relevant comments.
Valuation pricing:
For all valuations, we charge a document fee of £85 and a minimum 'per item' fee of £75.
Any diamonds over 1ct will be subject to an additional charge of £75 per extra carat.
Coloured gemstones larger than 12mm x 9mm (oval or rectangular) or 10mm diameter (round or square); and complex items with more than 100 diamonds and/or gemstones have a per item fee of £130.
Items with a value of under £500 will be grouped as 'miscellaneous' and treated as one item.
Exceptional items such as tiaras or civic regalia will be charged on a case-by-case basis and may require an initial assessment before we can provide a valuation quote.
